Loyal fans of the actress are demanding that a person who breached a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual version of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, winning two for best costume and artistic direction.
